I give to Sarah Jane Harrold, wife of John Harrold, for one hundred dollars and to Susanna Louisa Blank, wife of Henry Blank (tailor) one hundred dollars and to Elizabeth Ellen Cribbs fifty dollars and to John Michael Cribbs fifty dollars and to George Reuben Cribbs fifty dollars and to William Michael Harrold, son of John and Sarah Jane Harrold one hundred dollars to be put on interest until he arrives at the age of 18 years. And my desk and tool chest with their contents to John Harrold, Jr. except those articles mentioned herein and one let of chairs chest and trunk to Sarah Jane Harrold, wife of John Harrold and Fleetwood's Life of Christ to Maria Barbary Iseman and ten dollars to mother, wife of John Harrold Sr., this to take place four months after my death. The few clothes that are left may be divide among the 5 brothers and sisters. Sarah Jane shall divide them as she sees proper. All the property is in the hands of John Harrold, Jr. He shall have the money without interest until the time mentioned above and if there is any money left to be used for a monument over my remains if my body is found and if not known where my body is why then it shall be used church purposes. John Harrold, Jr. shall be one of the administrators in witness whereof I let my hand and seal this 14th day of September, Anno Domini 1861.

Before me personally came Lewis Harrold and Samuel Carpenter subscribing witnesses to the foregoing written will of William C. Cribbs dec. who upon their oaths say that they were present and saw the said testator sign his name thereof and heard him publish, pronounce, and declare the same to be his last will and testament, that at the time of so doing he was of sound and des___ mind, memory, and understanding and that they signed their names as witnesses [illegible] and in the presence of the testator and in the presence of each other.
