This indenture made this twentieth day of September, in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and fourteen.  Between Peter Cribs of New Philadelphia in the county of Tuscarawas and State of Ohio, and Christina his wife of the one part, and George Pfaust of this town, County and State aforesaid the other part.  Witnesseth, that the said Peter Cribs, and Christina, his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars, lawful money of the United States, to him in hand paid by the said George Pfaust, at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said Peter Cribs doth hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said George Pfaust,his heirs and assigns, one certain lot  or piece of ground near the Town of New Philadelphia aforesaid, which is bounded and described as follows, viz. Beginning at a post on West Street, which post is corner to John Williams out lot, thence along said street north ten degrees east, twenty seven perches to a post on Philipottennich line, thence west thirty four perches along Philipottennich line to a post on Walnut Street, thence south ten degrees west along Walnut Street twenty one perches to a post, a corner to John Williams' lot; thence south eighty degrees east thirty three perches and five tenths to the place of beginning.  Containing and laid out for five acres and four perches street measure be the same more or less (which said lot or piece of ground John Knisely by deed bearing date the twenty fifth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and nine, did grant and convey unto the same Peter Cribs, his heirs and assigns forever).  Together with all and singular the rights, liberties, privileges and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, ____, and profits thereof, and all the estate, right, title, and interest whatsoever of them, the said Peter Cribbs and Christina his wife and their heirs, both  in law and in equity, of, in, to and out of the same, to have and to hold the hereby bargained lot or piece of ground with the privileges and appurtenances thereof unto the said George Pfaust, his heirs and assigns, to his and their own proper use, benefit and behoof forever.  And the said Peter Cribs and Christina his wife for themselves and their heirs, do hereby covenant, promise, grant and agree to and with the said George Pfaust his heirs and assigns, that they, the said Peter Cribs, and Christina his wife the lot or piece of ground hereby bargained and sold to the said George Pfaust, his heirs and assigns shall and will warrant and forever defend against all manner of persons and claims whatsoever. In witness whereof, the said Peter Cribs and Christina his wife, have hereunto set their Hands and affixed their seal the day and year first within written.
