indenture made this Thirtieth day of

year of our Lord one
Jacob Lock
} thousand eight hundred and five Between -------------------- Peter
Cribs and Christina his wife both
of Westmoreland county in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania of
the one part and Jacob Lock of county
and state aforesaid of
the other part. Whereas a patent isued
from the commonwealth
of Pennsylvania to Daniel Harrold
for a certain tract of land
situate in Hempfield township in the
county aforesaid dated the
first day of December in one thousand
seven hundred and eighty
seven and enrolled in the Rolls office
of the said commonwealth
in Book No. 11, page 507 and the said
Daniel Harrold and Mary
his wife did by their deed poll bearing
date the thirteenth
day of July one thousand seven hundred
and eighty nine and recorded
in the office for recording of Deeds
in the county of Westmoreland
in Book D, page 178 reference to the
aforesaid deeds will more
fully and at large appear convey one
hundred and two acres of the
aforesaid tract of land with the allowance
for roads unto John Cribs
for the consideration therein mentioned
and the said John Cribs
being since deceased the said one
hundred and two acres and
allowance became the property of the
heirs of the said John Cribs.
Now know ye that the aforesaid Peter
Cribs a son and one of the
heirs of the said John Cribs and Christina
his wife for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and twenty
Dollars lawful money of the United
States to us in hand paid for the signing and delivery
of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by these presents
Do grant bargain sell release and
confirm unto the said Jacob
Lock his heirs and assigns all our right title interest and claim
in to and for our equal undivided sixth part of the aforesaid one
hundred…[missing]…the above named Peter Cribs and Christina
his wife
she having been first seperately and apart examined by and being
of full age acknowledged the above
Deed Poll to be their act and deed
and desired that the same might be
recorded as such. Acknowledged
before me this 30th day
of December Anno Domini 1805. Recorded the
